Wonder Workshop is when students join across grade levels at times once per week to do activities that provide experiences for problem solving, building, stretching thinking and collaborative work. They do projects that fall under many of the S.T.E.M categories (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and give many of the students an opportunity that enriches what they are learning in the classroom. The students really enjoy this time and the peer mentoring is a great addition to our building for community and positive culture.
In this activity students were given supplies to build a catapult. They then tested their catapults by measuring how far they could launch an object. Students enjoyed working together being creative and having fun!
