The Portrait of a Graduate is a shared vision that reflects the skills, traits, and characteristics we believe every Webster student should develop before graduation. It represents the collective voice of our students, educators and administrators.
In 2024, a dedicated team of staff and administrators came together to answer a central question:
“What qualities are most important for a successful graduate of the School District of Webster?”
Guided by our commitment to Every Student, Every Chance, Every Day, the Portrait of a Graduate highlights the outcomes we value most from the Early Childhood through Grade 12 experience. It defines the qualities we believe are essential for our students to thrive in college, career, and community life.
The process began with each department—Business, Fine Arts, Health and Physical Education, Math, Pupil Services, Reading/English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Special Education, and Tech-Ed—identifying the qualities most important from their perspective. These ideas were then brought together, discussed, and refined through collaboration and reflection.
The result is a single, unified Portrait of a Graduate that represents the aspirations we hold for all Webster students as they prepare for their futures.
