The School District of Webster Board of Education establishes committees and appoints its' members at the annual reorganization meeting. To view our current committee structure, please click here.
Committees of the board shall hold meetings, when deemed necessary, and may conduct studies, make recommendations to the board and act in an advisory capacity, but shall not take action on behalf of the Board. All committees shall comply with the Open Meetings Law by providing notices of each meeting, posting the time and date, place, subject matter of the proposed meeting, and any matter intended for the consideration at the contemplated closed meeting pursuant to 19.84, Wis. Stats. A committee meeting shall require a quorum, consisting of a majority of its members.
Please note that any minutes of board meetings are not published until they have received approval from the full board. Approval of minutes is completed at each monthly board meeting, unless there is a need to do so sooner. Following each monthly board meeting, the minutes that were approved at the preceding meeting will be published timely.
State Law permits the Board of Education to go into closed session to discuss personnel matters, property acquisition, consult with attorneys, etc. These sessions must be posted and all action taken must conform to the requirements of the Wisconsin Open Meeting Law, Stat. 19.85.
Closed session minutes are not subject to disclosure.
