Webster Elementary was one of 9 schools who received the award for five consecutive years and was honored with a special flag. The Webster Middle School has now won 7 years in a row. The criteria for receiving this recognition includes being in the top 25% in our test scores for schools that have a poverty rate of over 50%, based on free and reduced lunch percentages.
The State testing has taken place annually in November for grades 3-8 and 10th. Starting this next year it will be administered in the Spring and will change in its format to reflect the National Core Standards requirements.
The Webster School District is proud of its students, parents and staff in achieving this award, and want to celebrate what a great District we have.
