From The Nurse's Office
"There has been an increase in Respiratory Viruses. What can you do to protect you, your family, and students?
-
Please remember it is not too late to get your flu vaccine! Everyone over the age of 6 months should get a flu shot
-
Cover your cough
-
Wash your hands as often as possible using soap and water for 15-20 seconds
-
Use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available and in-between hand washing
-
Stay at home if you have flu-like symptoms. Flu signs and symptoms usually come on suddenly
If you become ill and are concerned about illness you may have to schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider for laboratory testing to confirm respiratory illness. Treatment options are available for those at higher risk of serious flu complications."
