An After School Community Learning Center

Our goal is to engage students in fun activities that create a desire to learn and build on what students are learning during the school day to extend the knowledge they already have.

Elementary After 3 is open to students in Grades 2-4 Monday thru Thursday, Grades K-1 Tuesdays and Thursdays, and runs from 3:15-5:30.  After school lets out, students check in at the Cafeteria and then are taken outside for recess.  After recess, students are given a healthy and nutrious snack.  At 4:00, students break into small groups to work on homework, tutoring, and enrichment activities.  From 4:45-5:30, students then participate in various fun activities such as Cooking, Arts, Crafts, Science, Computers, and Games.  Every Tuesday a different grade level visits with the residents at Cedarwood Manor in Webster.  While there, students play games, read stories, sing songs or do crafts with the elderly.  Twice a year, Family Nights are planned for parents and relatives to come enjoy dinner and an activity with their child.

In order for a student to attend After 3, a parent/guardian will need to fill out an enrollment form and students will need to be registered for the afternoons they plan on attending. Every other month a registration sheet and calendar will be sent home.  The calendar lists the days After 3 is being offered and the 4:45 Learning Focus for each afternoon.  Students can attend as often as they like and choose on the registration sheet which days they are going to attend.  Registrations need to be returned to their classroom teacher by the due date.  Late registrations will be accepted for students who are falling behind or struggling in class.  Parents can pick up their child no later than 5:40, but if transportation is needed, the Owl Bus will be available.  This is a set route and the student will need to be picked up at an established drop-off location.  Students are encouraged to stay until 5:30, but it is not required.  If a student is not present on a night they are registered, a phone call home will be made.  Please keep contact information current.  School and Bus behavior expectations will apply to the After 3 participants.

It is the policy of the School District of Webster that no person may be denied admission to any public school in this district or be denied participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extra-curricular, pupil service, recreational or other program or activity because of the person’s sex, race, color, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, or physical, mental, emotional, or learning disability or handicap as required by s. 118.13 Wis. Stats.  This policy also prohibits discrimination as defined by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (sex), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (race, color, and national origin), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (disability), and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

The district encourages informal resolution of complaints under this policy.  A formal complaint resolution procedure is available, however, to address allegations of violations of the policy in the School District of Webster.
