Virtual Education Offerings

Webster School District is proud to announce the offering of Virtual Education to our students. We are currently partnering with Calvert to aid in home-schooling efforts and
Wisconsin Virtual School to supplement our available courses.

Wisconsin Virtual School is an online service provider that offers online courses to middle and high school students. The virtual school environment offers additional flexibility and personalization for students who may learn best outside of the traditional classroom.

The WVS program provides curriculum that meets Wisconsin's state standards as well as national standards. WVS uses Wisconsin Certified teachers, specifically trained to meet our rigorous Internet-based teaching standards.
Parents are able to be directly involved in their child's education while receiving support through Webster's guidance department who oversee the students' progress and are available to answer questions.
Students that are enrolled in the Virtual School through Webster are eligible to participate in any part of the school day, in addition to extra-curricular activities.
Most importantly, the School District of Webster is held accountable for student and school performance, just as it is for any student attending Webster schools.

Please feel free to visit with us to explore these opportunities. Contact person at school for Calvert is Superintendent Jim Erickson, phone number 866-4391 and for WVS is Guidance Counselor Jill Norman, phone number 866-4281.

Why look somewhere else when we have it all right here?

It is the policy of the School District of Webster that no person may be denied admission to any public school in this district or be denied participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extra-curricular, pupil service, recreational or other program or activity because of the person’s sex, race, color, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, or physical, mental, emotional, or learning disability or handicap as required by s. 118.13 Wis. Stats.  This policy also prohibits discrimination as defined by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (sex), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (race, color, and national origin), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (disability), and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

The district encourages informal resolution of complaints under this policy.  A formal complaint resolution procedure is available, however, to address allegations of violations of the policy in the School District of Webster.
